The sun is already peaking back out as a lone fisherman drops a line over the Imperial Beach Pier shortly after a rare late-afternoon rainstorm. The tip of Point Loma is visible along the horizon on the right side of the frame. This is the third pier in IB; it was built in 1989. The first two were destroyed by storms in 1953 and 1980.
