There's an uneven symmetry that exists only in seascapes. I photographed this image as the sun was setting between the jetties in Imperial Beach in front of a house called “Silk Purse.” It’s the northernmost house on the beach-side of Seacoast Drive. Sometimes, when you’re out shooting, if you get just the right angle in just the right light, the waves appear to stack up like the steps of a staircase into the sun.
